Agent.AI Just Hit 2 Million Users!

A hint about what's coming next...

We just crossed 2 million users on agent.ai, which is exciting.

But here's what really matters: 25,337 people have gone from simply using agents to building them.

That's the story that gets me fired up.

In today's quick update, I want to share:

  • What these builder numbers actually mean

  • Why this matters for everyone (even if you're not building yet)

  • A hint about what's coming next

From Consumers to Creators

When we launched agent.ai in public beta at HubSpot’s INBOUND conference last year, we had about 47,000 users. A year later, we're at 2 million+ (that's 40x+ growth in a year — not bad).

The mission for agent.ai has always been to be the place you can discover, engage with, and build agents that help you grow better.

But the number that really excites me is that 25,337 of those builders have created over 44,000 agents between them, with 1,800 shared publicly with the community.

These are people building agents for themselves and their companies, solving real problems they face every day.

All of this is to say--I’m proud that we’re playing a part in transforming the way that people think about AI. Instead of waiting for someone else to build the perfect tool, people are building exactly what they need.

The agents being created span everything from content generation to data analysis to automated feedback systems. Each one solving a specific problem for its creator, and many being shared to help others with similar challenges.

Why This Matters (Even If You're Not Building)

You might be thinking, "I'm not technical, so this doesn't apply to me."

You’d be misinformed (and that’s mostly on me).

The future isn't about a few tech companies building AI tools for everyone else to consume. It's about everyone having the ability to create AI solutions for their specific needs.

If you take a peak down in history, WordPress made millions of people website creators and now powers ~40% of websites on the internet. Shopify turned regular people into e-commerce entrepreneurs. Canva made everyone a designer.

Agent.ai is doing the same thing for AI agents. Our no-code agent builder means you don't need to be a programmer to create powerful AI tools.

The 25,000+ people who've made the transition from user to builder aren't all developers. They're marketers, sales reps, educators, consultants, and small business owners who saw a problem and decided to solve it.

This is what gets me so excited about AI. Until now, you had to be technical to build apps and tools. You had to know how to code to create software, how to design to make something beautiful, how to write to be a writer.

Think about how many extremely talented visionaries never built an app because they lacked formal coding education. How much progress the world missed because we were limited to people who knew how to use specific technical tools.

In the AI age, the future belongs to people who can identify problems and act on their vision. We're no longer constrained by the tools we know how to use--we can focus on the problems we want to solve.

What's Coming Next

I’m already saying too much, but we have a major new feature in private beta that I'll announce later this week.

I'll give you two words since you’ve made it this far: "lead magnet."

For now, everything remains free while we're in beta (partly because I haven't figured out the right pricing model yet--ideas welcome!).

But the bigger picture is that we're building toward a world where multi-agent systems handle higher-order tasks on our behalf, freeing us up for more creative, high-impact work.

With 44,000 agents already built and hundreds more being created each week, we're on our way to realizing this vision.

It’s time to build! :)
