Why The Future Of AI Is Agents

And how curiosity will catapult your career

It was 3am.

I had butterflies in my stomach and I was curled up in the fetal position.

It was the night before my company HubSpot’s annual INBOUND conference in Boston, and as I had been doing for a dozen years, I had to deliver an opening keynote.

As an introverted developer (otherwise known as a developer), being on public stages is really not my natural habitat. Especially when there are 12,000+ people in the audience, IN REAL LIFE and thousands more watching online.

This year, I talked about the future of AI, and how that future is agents. I shared some thoughts about what agents are, what they can do now, and why I think they’re the future of how we’ll all get work done, very soon.

And, of course, I talked about agent.ai (and revealed some of the ideas and vision behind it). If you’re not familiar, Agent AI is the #1 professional network for AI agents (it’s also the only professional network for AI agents). It’s the place you go to discover, evaluate and hire agents to do tasks across a wide variety of use cases.

It’s also the place you go to build and share your agents.

If you’re curious (and there’s never been a better time to be curious — it will catapult your career), I encourage you watch the talk. It has my standard mix of demystification, new developments and of course, a good mix of bad dad jokes.

Cheers,

Dharmesh

PS — If you’re itching to build your own agent, you can now join the waiting list for the new Agent Builder, too. The Builder is a simple yet powerful tool that makes it easy for anyone (yes, anyone) to build an agent in seconds. No coding required.
